TranslateAble Returns to IBTM World 2026 in Barcelona
We're heading back to Barcelona. TranslateAble will be exhibiting at IBTM World 2026 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via from 17–19 November, and you'll find us on Stand P48.
IBTM World brings together around 2,500 destinations, venues, event tech providers and suppliers from more than 150 countries, all in one place for three days. For a show that brings the meetings and events business world to Barcelona, an events language agency feels like a natural fit.
Find us on the MESA stand (P48)
This year we're sharing Stand P48 with fellow members of the Meetings and Events Support Association (MESA), a collective of specialist suppliers who between them cover much of what it takes to deliver a meeting or event well: audio visual, registration, event apps, abstract management, engagement tools, lead capture and more.
Joining us on the stand are ACS audiovisual solutions, Conference Compass, CrowdComms, CTI Meeting Technology, CYIM (Cyber Imagination), Digivents, Entegy, ESTENSIS, EventMobi, FastLane GmbH, FestivalChairs, fielddrive, idloom, InviteDesk, InvitePeople, LetzFair, meta-fusion, Multilearning ePoster, Oxford Abstracts, Premagic, Qondor and Snapsight.
If you're planning an international meetings and events programme in 2027, it's a rare chance to talk through the whole delivery picture, from the app to the AV to the interpreters, in a single visit.
Launching events abroad, the dos and don'ts
Alongside the stand, I'll be hosting a 20-minute industry conversation on launching events in a new country for the first time.
Before founding TranslateAble I spent over 20 years in international event operations, and a good deal of that time was spent geo-cloning shows and setting up in cities where nobody on the team had worked before. Some of it went smoothly. Some of it taught me lessons I'd rather have learned from someone else's mistakes.
That's the spirit of the session. We'll cover the practical dos and don'ts of working in a new market: local sourcing, contracts and suppliers, what changes about health and safety and venue terminology, where language and cultural nuance quietly trip up even experienced teams, and what to put in place pre-event so your international exhibitors and attendees arrive feeling expected rather than accommodated.
It's designed for organisers and agencies who have a launch or expansion on the horizon and want to hear what actually happens on the ground. Session date and time will be confirmed in the IBTM World show agenda; we'll share it here and on LinkedIn as soon as it's live.
What we can help with at IBTM World
Whether you stop by the stand or book a meeting, the team will be on hand to talk through:
Interpretation for conferences, meetings and trade shows, in person or remote, with local interpreters and equipment wherever the event is held
Sign language interpreting, including BSL, International Sign and local sign languages
Live captioning, helping you find the right solutions for your event content and audience
Translation and localisation of marketing, exhibitor manuals and event content for international audiences
Multilingual Stand Staffing, our newest service, placing language professionals directly within exhibitor stand teams to turn more visitor conversations into leads
Everything we do is built for the events industry, by people from the events industry. We understand your timelines, your terminology and what a good week onsite feels like. And because 100% of our onsite jobs in 2025 were delivered using local interpreters and technicians, we can help you meet your ESG commitments while keeping budgets in check. Find out more about how we’ve made the awards shortlist for the Association of Translation Companies Sustainable Business of the Year 2026.

Our IBTM World diary will open in the coming weeks through the official event app. To secure a slot early, drop us an email and we'll pencil you in. You can also follow TranslateAble on LinkedIn to be the first to know when the diary goes live and when Julia's session is confirmed.
We look forward to seeing you in Barcelona!
